For 99 years, the Lidgerwood Woman's Club has been hosting the Honor Student Banquet, where the students are honored for high scholastic achievement. The banquet originally honored only girls; however, since the boys were only recognized at the Athletic Banquet, the Woman's Club began to honor them as well. Besides being treated to a meal, the students this year enjoyed listening to the guest speaker Brady Helmer, a Lidgerwood High School graduate, who is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. He gave his audience some bits of advice that he has learned throughout his life's experiences. He said that many things can impact one's life and that there are always choices to be made.
The criteria for attending the banquet is that the student must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher and must be on the school's honor roll in the first three nine-week grading periods of the school year.
