For 95 years, the Lidgerwood Woman's Club has been hosting the Honor Student Banquet, where the students are honored for high scholastic achievement. The banquet originally honored only girls; however, since the boys were only recognized at the Athletic Banquet, the Woman's Club began to honor them as well. Besides being treated to a meal, the students this year enjoyed listening to the guest speaker Beau Goolsbey, who talked about Dakota Dirt Coffee. He told how he and his two friends, Wyatt and Landon Mund, started in the coffee roasting business in his basement and eventually built a facility in Milnor, ND. The attendees were entertained by Colin Brownlee, who sang 2 selections accompanied by his guitar playing.

The criteria for attending the banquet is that the student must have nothing lower than a grade of a B in the first three nine-week grading periods of the school year; however, the student is allowed one B- on his or her report card.
