For 94 years, the Lidgerwood Woman's Club has been hosting the Honor Student Banquet, where the students are honored for high scholastic achievement. The banquet originally honored only girls; however, since the boys were only recognized at the Athletic Banquet, the Woman's Club began to honor them as well. Besides being treated to a meal, the students this year enjoyed listening to the guest speaker Heather Haberman, who talked about Jessy's Toy Box, a project in honor of her son. She told how the project started, how it continues today in 4 different states, and how the organizations goal is to be in all 50 states. The attendees were entertained by Nancy Osborn, who played 2 selections on her violin.

The criteria for attending the banquet is that the student must have nothing lower than a grade of a B in the first three nine-week grading periods of the school year; however, the student is allowed one B- on his or her report card.
